Giants LB Beason leaves game
The Sports Xchange
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — New York Giants starting middle linebacker Jon Beason was injured on the first series of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Beason was injured when 49ers running back Carlos Hyde rammed into him, sending him backward to the turf. Beason got to his feet, but was wobbly. He was able to jog off the field, but was taken to the locker room for further evaluation for a possible concussion.
The Giants, who are already down two linebackers thanks to Devon Kennard and Jonathan Casillas being inactive, replaced Beason with first-year player Uani ‘Unga.
