Giants middle linebacker Jon Beason is not quite ready to start flying from sideline to sideline yet, but he’s using his time away from the field wisely — with his nose in the playbook preparing for his crucial role as the “Mike” linebacker in Steve Spagnuolo’s new defense.”I’m learning [the scheme] as fast as I can, as much as I can, obviously there’s nothing like getting out there and actually reaping it,” Beason said. “Our offense gives us a lot of problems with moving guys around, changing personnel groups, so they make it really hard on us in practice.”
