After just one season in the NFL, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is a coverboy.

Beckham was selected in fan voting for the cover of EA Sports’ “Madden NFL 16” video game, it was announced Wednesday.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was the other finalist who emerged from a list of four candidates that included Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Beckham played in just 12 of the Giants’ 16 regular-season games during his first year in 2014 after suffering a hamstring injury. Still, he caught 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

At 22, Beckham will be the youngest player to appear on the Madden cover (Vince Young was 24 when he was on the cover of the 2008 game) and the first member of the Giants to receive the honor.

Beckham also is the third wide receiver to land on the cover, joining Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald and Detroit’s Calvin Johnson.
