Falcons sign three, release one

The Atlanta Falcons on Sunday signed cornerback Travis Howard, linebacker Terrell Manning and running back Evan Royster.
The team also released offensive lineman DeMarcus Love.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Howard was originally signed as a college free agent by the Houston Texans out of Ohio State on May 10, 2013. He was signed by the New England Patriots on Oct. 16, 2013, and placed on their practice squad. He was signed onto the New York Giants’ practice squad on Dec. 25, 2013.
The 6-2, 237-pound Manning was originally selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State. Manning has had stints with seven different NFL teams. He has seen game action with the Packers, San Diego Chargers, Chicago Bears and Giants.
The 6-0, 207-pound Royster was originally selected by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 2011 draft out of Penn State. Royster played in 32 games over three years for the Redskins (2011-2013) and rushed for 416 yards on 81 carries and two touchdowns. He also had 25 receptions for 180 yards.
The 6-4, 315-pound Love was originally selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round of the 2011 draft out of Arkansas. Love was on the 53-man roster for the Vikings in 2011. He was signed by the Falcons on July 29.
