Falcons’ Moore fined $22,050 for hit
Atlanta Falcons safety William Moore said he was fined $22,050 by the NFL for a hit he put on Arizona Cardinals receiver Jaron Brown on Sunday, but Moore was not too happy about the league’s decision.
“I don’t know if I even have a voice in it. All I can do is appeal it,” Moore said, according to ESPN. “Do I disagree? Yes. Do I dislike it? Yes. I don’t feel like that was a fine. But I would like for us to be able to play real football.”
Moore led with the crown of his helmet on the hit, which is why he was fined. Moore had missed the previous seven games with a shoulder injury.
Last year, Moore was fined nearly $75,000 for multiple violations, and he said he was trying to change the way he tackled to avoid those steep fined.
However, Moore does not believe that the NFL is allowing him to be a physical player.
