Falcons’ Julio Jones out vs. Steelers
ATLANTA — Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, the NFL leader in receiving yards, was inactive for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a hip injury.
Jones suffered the injury in last week’s loss to the Green Bay Packers and did not practice all week. Jones had a career-high 253 yards receiving against the Packers.
Jones was officially listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.
In 13 games, Jones has career bests with 93 catches and 1,428 receiving yards, and has passed the Steelers’ Antonio Brown for the NFL lead in receiving yards. Brown enters Sunday’s game with 1,375 yards.
With Jones out, Harry Douglas is expected to start opposite Roddy White, who is playing at less than 100 percent due to a nagging ankle injury.
