Falcons expected to interview Quinn again
Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is expected to interview again for the Atlanta Falcons’ head-coaching vacancy as soon as Monday, according to Pro Football Talk.
The Falcons apparently are willing to wait for Quinn, who already met with them once but is now preparing for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers.
The report said that if the Packers upset the Seahawks, Quinn could have the job by the middle of the week. Even if the Seahawks win, the Falcons will be permitted to interview Quinn for a second time during the Super Bowl bye week.
Quinn, 44, said earlier he wasn’t concerned with teams that didn’t want to wait for him to become available.
“I’m so fortunate to be a part of this organization and to be here with this group of guys. I’m having a blast; I really am so no hard feelings, no disappointment in any way,’ Quinn said Thursday. “I can’t say it enough of how fortunate I am to be a part of this group.
“I had a great time going through the process. What a wonderful opportunity to get to talk to people, but I’m in a great situation. Now that we’re back here, the focus is back here for the game and what a great challenge we have ahead of us.”
