Falcons acquire G Levitre from Titans

The Atlanta Falcons acquired guard Andy Levitre from the Tennessee Titans on Friday in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in 2016 and a future conditional draft pick.

The 6-foot-2, 303-pound Levitre was originally selected by the by the Buffalo Bills in the second round (51st overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Oregon State. He spent four seasons with the Bills, and started all 64 games during those four years.

In 2013, Levitre signed with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent. He started all 32 games during his two-year tenure with the Titans.

Levitre’s 16 starts at left guard in 2014, brought his consecutive starting streak to 96 games — every game since entering the NFL. His consecutive starts streak ranks first among all NFL guards.
