Eagles OT Peters leaves with back injury
The Sports Xchange
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Philadelphia Eagles veteran offensive tackle Jason Peters left Sunday night’s game with a lower-back injury.
Peters was taken from the field on a cart after the first-quarter injury sustained against the Carolina Panthers.
Peters went down on a play in which Carolina defensive end Mario Addison registered a sack of Sam Bradford. Peters was locked up with Panthers defensive end Jared Allen during the play.
At 33 years old, Peters is the oldest non-specialist on the Philadelphia roster. He’s a 12th-year player out of Arkansas.
Peters went in for X-rays and is questionable to return, according to the Eagles’ official Twitter feed.
