Eagles’ Kelly: Foles has cracked clavicle
Philadelphia quarterback Nick Foles has a crack in his clavicle, coach Chip Kelly confirmed Monday.
Foles was to undergo an MRI later Monday to determine the extent of the injury.
The third-year quarterback is expected to miss at least a month. Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers missed seven weeks with a similar injury last season.
“I feel very bad for Nick that he’s going to be out,” Kelly said.
Mark Sanchez will start for the Eagles in the interim. Sanchez completed 15 of 22 passes for 202 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions, in the Eagles’ 31-21 victory over the Texans on Sunday.
Foles left that game late in the first quarter after taking a hard hit.
