Eagles McKelvin Calls Falcons a “Front-Running” Team
Following back-to-back losses, the Philadelphia Eagles earned a much-needed win against the top offensive team in the NFL at home. The Eagles held the Atlanta Falcons to only 15 points, which isn’t easy to do. However, cornerback Leodis McKelvin saw a weakness in Atlanta’s attack.
“I was telling the defense, this is the type of team, they are a front-runner. They are a front-running team,” he said. “If you go out there and make some stops, they eventually are going to be dying down.”
Late in the game, McKelvin came up with the game-saving interception.
“They actually ran the same play back-to-back,” McKelvin said. “Don’t do that. That was just a bad mistake. They ran the same play back-to-back, and I made a play.”
At (5-4), the Eagles find themselves in last in the rugged NFC East.
