Donald, Barron Not Fined For Hits On Cam Newton

During last Sunday’s Carolina Panthers 13-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, quarterback Cam Newton was hit twice in his head/neck area by superstar defensive tackle Aaron Donald and safety Mark Barron. The result was no penalty, and now no fine either.
Newton ripped officials a week prior about his lack of protection as it appears that penalties that are called on hits against most quarterbacks haven’t been called on the 6-foot-5, 250 pound league MVP. It started in Week 1 when the Denver Broncos unloaded on Newton, hitting him time and time again to the extent that many believed he had a concussion. Seemingly each week has followed suit.
