Dolphins sign RB Mostert off Eagles’ practice squad
The Sports Xchange
Running back Raheem Mostert was signed to the Miami Dolphins’ active roster from the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday.
Mostert instantly becomes a candidate to return kickoffs for the Dolphins, who released running back LaMike James on Monday. James fumbled a kickoff in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins.
Mostert, a four-time Big Ten track champion at Purdue, led the NFL in total yards in the preseason and averaged 32.4 yards on five kickoff returns with the Eagles.
He averaged 26 yards per kickoff return in 88 chances with the Boilermakers.
