Dez Bryant: “We’re Not Gonna Play Scared”
See what Dez Bryant thinks about speculation of how Cowboys should play.
Theoretically, the Dallas Cowboys had nothing to play for against the Detroit Lions last night. Jason Garrett’s team already has home-field advantage locked up, but that didn’t stop them from sending a message to the rest of the league.
Dallas went on to dominate Detroit to the tune of 42-21.
For Cowboys fans, the most welcoming sign was seeing Dez Bryant look like Dez Bryant. The All-Pro receiver hauled in four catches for 70 yards to go along with two touchdowns.
Instead of resting guys for the playoffs, the Cowboys kept their foot on the gas and that’s exactly how Bryant likes it.
“There’s a lot of talk about how we’re supposed to play this,” Bryant stated outside the Cowboys’ locker room at AT&T Stadium. “But here’s the deal. F— it, we’re gonna play ball, and we’re not gonna play scared. That’s what the coaches want, so that’s what we’re gonna do, and when we get on that field, we’re not holding anything back.”
It’ll be interesting to see if Dallas has the same mindset heading into their regular-season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.
