Derrick Johnson Ruptures Achilles Tendon
See why Derrick Johnson is likely out for the season.
In the midst of the highly anticipated Chiefs-Raiders matchup last night, Andy Reid’s team suffered a huge loss in the middle of their defense. Veteran linebacker Derrick Johnson went down with a non-contact injury, which is never a good sign.
Later we found out Johnson has been diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles tendon, which will most likely end his season.
Reid summed it up in a very brief manner.
“It’s a sad deal,” Reid said. “I felt a little bit of a letdown when it happened.”
Two years ago, Johnson missed majority of the season due to a torn right Achilles.
