Derek Carr Doesn’t Blame Pinky For Poor Performance

See why Derek Carr didn’t blame pinky for his poor performance.

A day after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Oakland Raiders 21-13 in a frigid Arrowhead Stadium, fans and media like are making tons of excuses for MVP candidate Derek Carr. The 25-year-old had the worst game of his season by far, only completing 17 of 41 passes for 117 yards with zero touchdowns.

When asked about his pinky, Carr didn’t fall into the trap.

“It definitely wasn’t the finger’s fault,” Carr said.

Carr wasn’t finished explaining the nightmare in KC.

“It was definitely a bad night, no way of getting around that,” Carr said. “I hate to have a bad night coming on this one, out of all the games we’ve had. Obviously, we didn’t do enough.”

“I feel very responsible for that because of being the leader of the offense and the team. I feel sick to my stomach when we put something like that out there on film. It hurts, I can promise you that. I put too much time into this to go do something like that.”

Although Oakland has the same record as Kansas City, the Chiefs hold the tiebreaker.
