Injured Cowboys running back Joseph Randle is facing a suspension for a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy in the offseason and could be out of the Dallas lineup for multiple games.

ESPN reported Thursday Randle was arrested in the offseason in Wichita, Kan., his second police incident in four months, in a domestic violence incident that involved a gun. According to ESPN, Randle was investigated for breaking out the window of a car owned by the mother of his son and threatening her with the gun. Police also cited him unlawful possession of marijuana.

Charges were dropped in April, but Randle could still be fined or suspended under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Randle left the team facility without receiving treatment for his strained oblique muscle on Wednesday, not long after coach Jason Garrett announced veteran Darren McFadden was taking over Randle’s job as the team’s starting running back.

Randle was arrested last October in Frisco, Texas, for shoplifting underwear and a tester bottle of cologne from a department store.

He started the first six games this season and rushed for 315 yards.
