The Dallas Cowboys signed quarterback Kellen Moore to their practice squad on Tuesday.

Moore spent the past three seasons in Detroit after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State in 2012. He did not see any action there but played under offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, who now has the same position with the Cowboys.

Moore joins undrafted rookie quarterback Jameill Showers on the Cowboys’ practice squad. Showers played on special teams during the preseason.

Running back Gus Johnson, who led the Cowboys in rushing during the preseason, also landed on the practice squad.

Other players on the practice squad are wide receivers Vince Mayle and Rodney Smith and linebacker Joe Thomas. Mayle and Smith were with the Cleveland Browns and Thomas with the Green Bay Packers during the preseason.
