Competition Committee discusses London games
The NFL’s Competition Committee met Saturday in Naples, Fla., and discussed how to improve games played in London.
According to Troy Vincent, vice president of football operations for the league, specifics were not identified.
There has been talk about getting rid of the automatic bye week following games played in London. The goal, according to profootballtalk.com, is to assess “one of the potential consequences of moving a team to London and requiring visiting teams to play without a bye on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.”
Currently, three games are scheduled for London next season.
The Miami Dolphins will play host to the New York Jets in Week 4 on Oct. 4. The Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 7 on Oct. 25. Finally, the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Detroit Lions in Week 8 on Nov. 1
