Colts trim 23 from roster

The Indianapolis Colts made 23 player moves Saturday to reduce their roster to the 53-man limit.

Indianapolis released guard David Arkin and wide receiver Vincent Brown, and waived outside linebacker Daniel Adongo, quarterback Bryan Bennett, wide receiver Quan Bray, wide receiver Duron Carter, cornerback Chance Casey, nose tackle Josh Chapman, inside linebacker Carlos Fields, defensive tackle Montori Hughes, tackle Ulrick John, outside linebacker Cam Johnson, safety Dewey McDonald, tight end Sean McGrath, inside linebacker Henoc Muamba, guard Kitt O’Brien, cornerback Eric Patterson, defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles, tight end Erik Swoope, cornerback Raymon Taylor and running back Zurlon Tipton.

Also, defensive tackle Arthur Jones and inside linebacker Junior Sylvestre were placed on the Injured Reserve list.
