Colts to Rely on Passing Attack in Playoffs

The notion that the Indianapolis Colts aren’t a good rushing team is not a radical idea.

Now, it seems, even the team’s offensive coordinator acknowledges as much.

During his news conference Thursday, Pep Hamilton was asked whether the Colts can advance in the playoffs without generating more production from their stagnant running game. His answer was rather revealing.

“Our emphasis is to just try and score every time we touch the football,” he said. “If that’s (by) running the football, that’s great. Ideally we want to have balance in our offense. But at this point, we have to accentuate our strengths and do what we do best and find ways to score.”
