Colts Sign Quarles Due to Arthur Jones injury

You knew Arthur Jones’ injury was going to cause him to miss some time when he needed a cart to get him off the field and it was announced in the press box that he had suffered a high ankle sprain against Philadelphia on Monday night.

The Colts gave a better indication of where they stood with Jones when they signed free agent defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles to their active roster from New England’s practice squad on Tuesday afternoon. Undrafted rookie Zach Kerr is listed behind Jones on the depth chart, but don’t be surprised if veteran Ricky Jean Francois ends up starting. Jean Francois started 10 games last season.
