Colts sign G O’Brien

The Indianapolis Colts signed undrafted free agent guard Kitt O’Brien on Friday and waived guard Ben Heenan after reaching an injury settlement.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound O’Brien spent the last two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Cleveland Gladiators after playing collegiately at Ball State. In 2014, he started all 18 games for the Gladiators along the offensive line. As a rookie in 2013, O’Brien started all five games that he appeared in with Cleveland.

The 6-4, 315-pound Heenan originally signed with the Colts as a free agent on Feb. 4. Prior to joining Indianapolis, he started 49 of 52 games in three seasons (2012-14) with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League after playing collegiately at the University of Saskatchewan.
