Colts sign DT Hoover to practice squad
The Indianapolis Colts signed defensive tackle Tyler Hoover to the practice squad Wednesday.
The 6-foot-7, 297-pound Hoover was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State on May 13. He was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 1 and was released on Sept. 2. He then spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad before being released on Sept. 30.
Hoover played in 48 career games (23 starts) as a defensive end at Michigan State and recorded 93 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, six passes defensed, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
