Colts QB Luck hopes to play Thursday
The Sports Xchange
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will prepare as the starter for Thursday’s game at Houston.
Luck has a subluxation, or partial separation, of his right throwing shoulder. He did not play Sunday in the Colts’ 16-13 overtime win. The injury typically heals with rest and treatment over time, and the length of recovery depends on the severity of the initial injury.
Luck had an MRI exam last week but did not throw in practice. He saw at least two noted medical experts before sitting out Week 4.
The Colts said publicly that Luck would likely start last week, but he was ruled out Friday night, and 40-year-old backup Matt Hasselbeck got the call.
