Colts LB Walden allegedly slashed by ex-girlfriend

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Erik Walden was slashed in the arm with a knife after allegedly being attacked by his ex-girlfriend in Braselton, Ga.

WXIA-TV in Atlanta reported Walden’s ex-girlfriend, Erica Palmer, is accused of slashing his arm and breaking a woman’s arm with a baseball bat late Saturday night.

Palmer, who has two children with Walden, was arrested Sunday on numerous charges after the incident, according to Braselton Police,

The police report said Palmer reappeared as Walden was attempting to take the injured woman to the hospital and then allegedly slashed Walden’s arm with a knife and ran again.

Police tracked Palmer’s cellphone to a hotel, where she was arrested. She is being held without bail on two counts of aggravated assault, family violence aggravated assault, theft by taking and first-degree burglary.

The children have been placed in the care of Walden, who was treated at a hospital and released.

Walden has 82 tackles and nine sacks in two seasons with the Colts. Over his seven-year NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers and Colts, he has 236 tackles and 18 sacks.
