Chiefs RB Charles exits vs. Arizona
GLENDALE, Ariz. – Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles suffered an ankle injury late in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals and his return is questionable.
Charles was tackled hard with 2:38 remaining in the opening period and was bent backward awkwardly in a pile when the injury occurred. He left the field for the locker room to be evaluated.
Charles entered the game as the NFL’s ninth-leading rusher with 807 yards. He scored on a 63-yard run earlier in the first quarter to give the Chiefs a 7-3 lead.
