Chiefs put TE Gordon on IR, cut 19

The Kansas City Chiefs put tight end Richard Gordon on Injured Reserve and released 19 others on Saturday to get down to the National Football League’s mandatory 53-player limit.

The Chiefs released wide receiver Da’Ron Brown, defensive end Mike Catapano, safety Sanders Commings, linebacker Ja’Gared Davis, defensive tackle Hebron Fangupo, center Garrett Frye, defensive lineman David Irving, linebacker James-Michael Johnson, center Eric Kush, wide receiver Tello Luckett, C Daniel Munyer, defensive back Deji Olatoye, guard Jarrod Pughsley, running back Darrin Reaves, defensive back Kevin Short, tackle Derek Sherrod, tight end Ryan Taylor, fullback Spencer Ware and wide receiver Fred Williams.
