The Kansas City Chiefs placed quarterback Tyler Bray on the non-football injury list Tuesday while waiving wide receiver Junior Hemingway and offensive tackle Tavon Rooks and placing linebacker Justin March on injured reserve.

Bray tore his ACL while playing basketball and underwent surgery in January. He has been working out daily after practice but the Chiefs have not given a timetable for his potential return.

Kansas City has three quarterbacks on the active roster: starter Alex Smith, primary backup Chase Daniel and second-year player Aaron Murray.

Hemingway spent his first three NFL seasons with the Chiefs, appearing in 14 games with one start last season and catching 12 passes for 108 yards. Rooks was signed as an undrafted rookie out of Kansas State.

March was signed as an undrafted rookie out of Akron and was enjoying a strong training camp before tearing his meniscus.
