Chancellor’s knee injury reportedly just a bruise
Seattle Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor, who appeared on the final Super Bowl XLIX injury report, reportedly only suffered a bruised left knee when he took a tumble late in practice Friday.
The knee injury does not appear to be anything of concern for Sunday’s game, even though Chancellor was officially listed as probable.
The fall was reported in the Seahawks’ media pool story from Sports Illustrated’s Peter King. According to the report, Chancellor fell near the goal line, was helped up, then missed the final play of practice. He left the field after practice without a limp but with his left knee wrapped.
According to Bleacher Reporter, Chancellor’s knee injury is a bruise.
Chancellor was listed as limited in practice, but cornerback Richard Sherman (elbow) and safety Earl Thomas (shoulder) and starting right guard J.R. Sweezy (ankle), who came to Arizona sporting injuries suffered in the NFC Championship Game, participated fully in the Seahawks’ final practice of the week.
The New England Patriots listed center Bryan Stork (knee) as questionable. Stork returned to practice after missing the AFC Championship Game.
Quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) is one of several Patriots listed as probable: linebackers Akeem Ayers (knee) and Dont’a Hightower (shoulder), defensive tackle Chris Jones (elbow), cornerback Darrelle Revis (not injury related) and defensive tackle Sealver Siliga (foot).
