Carr to get start for Raiders
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will start Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers after being listed as questionable during the week with an injured left knee and ankle.
Carr was able to practice this week after he left the Raiders’ previous game two weeks against the Miami Dolphins. Oakland had a bye last weekend.
The rookie from Fresno State is completing 63.2 percent of his passes for 734 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions in four games this year.
Inactive for the Raiders were Vincent Brown (hamstring) and right tackle Khalif Barnes (quadriceps). Barnes was to be replaced by Menelik Watson.
Chargers right tackle D.J. Fluker (ankle), center Rich Ohrnberger (back) and Malcom Floyd (calf) were active for the game, but running backs Donald Brown (concussion) and Ryan Mathews (knee), linebacker Manti Te’o (foot) and cornerback Shareece Wright (knee) were out.
