Cardinals-Saints inactives: 3 receiving targets to play
The Sports Xchange
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Three receiving targets for the Arizona Cardinals who were listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints are active and are expected to play — wide receiver Michael Floyd and tight ends Jermaine Gresham and Troy Niklas.
Left guard Mike Iupati (knee) will miss Sunday’s game and possibly next week at Chicago but should return to the lineup for Arizona’s Week 3 matchup against division rival San Francisco.
There were no surprises among the Cardinals’ other inactives: Quarterback Matt Barkley, receiver Brittan Golden, linebacker Shaq Riddick, tackle D.J. Humphries, tight end Joseph Fauria and nose tackle Xavier Williams.
As expected, safety Jairus Byrd and running back C.J. Spiller will miss the game for the Saints because of knee injuries. Quarterback Garrett Grayson, cornerback Keenan Lewis, defensive end Obum Gwacham, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and defensive tackle Kaleb Eulls were also inactive for New Orleans.
