Cardinals Lose Stanton, Peterson, and Campbell vs Broncos
The Arizona Cardinals lost the one player that they could not afford to lose, while another injury drew the ire of coach Bruce Arians.
Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton suffered a concussion in Sunday’s 41-20 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Arizona also lost star cornerback Patrick Peterson to an ankle injury, but it was defensive end Calais Campbell’s knee injury that angered Arians, who referred to it as “the dirtiest play I’ve ever seen.”
Campbell suffered an MCL injury when he was chop blocked by Broncos tight end Julius Thomas on Arizona’s opening drive of the second half.
