Cam Newton Had MRI On Throwing Shoulder
See why Cam Newton didn’t throw at practice.
For the second consecutive day, reigning MVP Cam Newton didn’t throw at practice. On Tuesday, Newton underwent an MRI on his throwing shoulder. While it looks and sounds bad on the surface, there’s nothing to be overly concerned about.
“We’re just bringing him back up to speed,” said head coach Ron Rivera. “So we limited his reps today.”
When confronted about the shoulder, Newton downplayed it as well.
“It was nothing to be scary about,” Newton confirmed.
Everyone in Panthers camp fully expects Newton to be ready to go against the Washington Redskins Monday night. After all, does anyone believe Newton will miss the opportunity to go up against former teammate Josh Norman?
Highly unlikely.
