Bucs sign LB Lemon, add 3 to practice squad

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed linebacker Orie Lemon on Wednesday and added three players to the practice squad.

The 6-foot-1, 242-pound Lemon spent this past offseason and preseason with the Bucs, and played for the team in 2014. Lemon, who was waived last month with an abdominal injury, had 17 tackles on defense and six on special teams last year.

The team signed cornerback Isaiah Frey, defensive tackle Derrick Lott and linebacker Julian Stanford to the practice squad.

The 6-0, 190-pound Frey spent the offseason and preseason with the Buccaneers. He had 10 tackles on defense last season and five on special teams.

The 6-4, 314-pound Lott entered the league as a college free agent with the Tennessee Titans this offseason. He spent three seasons at Tennessee-Chattanooga (2011-14), after transferring from Georgia.

The 6-1, 230-pound Stanford joins the Bucs after having spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Detroit Lions. Prior to his time with Detroit, Stanford spent one season with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2012). In his NFL career, the Wagner product has played in 34 games (six starts), recording 17 tackles, one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery and 11 special teams tackles.
