The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Tim Jennings on Monday and placed tackle Demar Dotson on injured reserve/designated for return.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound Jennings is in his 10th NFL season, having originally entered the league as a second-round pick (62nd overall) by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Jennings, 31, was cut by the Chicago Bears, even though he maintains he is 100 percent following offseason knee surgery.

Jennings spent four seasons with the Colts (2006-09), winning Super Bowl XLI and playing in Super Bowl XLIV. Following his time in Indianapolis, Jennings was signed by the Bears, where he played for five seasons (2010-14), including three under Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith, who held the same role in Chicago.

In his career, Jennings has played in 131 regular-season games (95 starts), totaling 437 tackles, 78 passes defensed, 20 interceptions (279 return yards, three touchdowns), nine forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries (17 return yards) and 26 special teams tackles. He has also played in seven career postseason games, recording 23 tackles, five passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Jennings earned Pro Bowl berths following both the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Dotson will be eligible to play for the Bucs beginning in Week 9.

The team also announced eight practice squad signings: wide receivers Kaelin Clay and Donteea Dye, cornerbacks Imoan Claiborne and Jude Adjei-Barimah, linebacker Josh Keyes, tackles Terren Jones and Edawn Coughman, and defensive end Howard Jones.
