The Tampa Bay Buccaneers waived defensive end Kourtnei Brown and signed tight end Cameron Brate to the active roster from the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad and free agent defensive end Josh Martin on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers also announced the release of wide receiver Rannell Hall, defensive tackle Derrick Lott and linebacker Julian Stanford from the practice squad. In their place, Tampa Bay signed linebacker Orie Lemon, wide receiver Evan Spencer and guard Martin Wallace to the practice squad.

Brown has bounced around the league, with stops in San Francisco, Washington, Buffalo, Detroit, St. Louis, Houston and Tampa Bay.

Brate split time last season between the Buccaneers’ practice squad and active roster. He was on Tampa Bay’s practice squad during the first week of this season before being released and signed by New Orleans.

Martin was with the Kansas City Chiefs the past two seasons and played in 19 regular-season games (one start). He totaled 14 tackles, one forced fumble and a half-sack along along with 13 special-teams tackles.

Lemon signed and was added to the Buccaneers’ active roster on Sept. 16 and played at New Orleans on Sunday. He was released by the team on Monday before rejoining the Bucs a day later.

Spencer, drafted in the sixth round this year by the Washington Redskins, spent the offseason and preseason with Washington before being waived Sept. 9. His father, Tim Spencer, is the Tampa Bay’s running backs coach.

Wallace was a member of the Buccaneers’ practice squad during the opening week of the regular season.
