Buccaneers add three to active roster

Defensive tackle Matthew Masifilo and wide receiver Marcus Thigpen were promoted to the active roster from the practice squad by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday.

In addition, the Bucs activated running back Charles Sims to the 53-man roster from the Injured Reserve/Designated for Return list

Masifilo (6-3, 280) has been with Tampa Bay since 2012, and has spent time on the active roster in 2012 and 2013.

Thigpen (5-9, 200) signed with Tampa Bay on Oct. 21 after spending time this season with Miami and New England.

Sims (6-0, 214) was drafted by the Buccaneers in the third round in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was placed on the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return list after he sustained ankle injury in training camp.

The Buccaneers also waived injured wide receiver Trindon Holliday.
