Browns hire assistant OL coach
The Sports Xchange
Paul Dunn joined the Cleveland Browns as an offensive line assistant to work under George DeLeone, the team announced Thursday.
DeLeone took over as offensive line coach after Andy Moeller, who held the position before a suspension stemming from a legal matter, left the Browns in a mutual parting.
“I have a lot of respect for Paul. I’ve known him for a long time,” Browns coach Mike Pettine said. “He’s coached in the NFL for a good number of years.”
Dunn is familiar with some members of the Browns’ coaching staff, having worked with tight ends coach Brian Angelichio and secondary coach Jeff Hafley at Pittsburgh and wide receivers coach Joker Phillips at Kentucky.
The 55-year-old Dunn served as the Houston Texans’ offensive line coach in 2014 after six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons as an assistant offensive line coach (2008-2011) and offensive line coach (2012-13).
Dunn also held college coaching jobs as an offensive line coach at Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Kansas State and Vanderbilt.
