Browns defense suffers double blow
The Cleveland Browns lost more than a game on Sunday.
Reports out of Cleveland on Monday indicate that linebackers Karlos Dansby and Jabaal Sheard suffered injuries that might end both players’ seasons.
Dansby will be out “upwards of a month” with what is believed to be a sprained MCL, coach Mike Pettine said.
Sheard’s season is likely over because of a bone injury in his foot.
Both players were injured in a 23-7 loss to the Texans on Sunday — a defeat that knocked the surprising Browns out of first place in the AFC North.
Pettine wasn’t sure if Dansby needed surgery but did say that losing his quarterback on defense was a “shame.”
