Broncos place WR Williams on IR, sign WR Louks
The Sports Xchange
The Denver Broncos placed wide receiver Kyle Williams on injured reserve Monday and signed wide receiver Corbin Louks.
Williams suffered a season-ending Achilles injury at training camp practice Saturday.
Williams, 27, was carted off the practice field after going down awkwardly in punt-return drills.
It’s the third major leg injury for the six-year veteran, who suffered ACL tears with the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.
Louks has been on practice squads with the Seattle Seahawks (2012) and Kansas City Chiefs (2014) since entering the NFL in 2012 out of Nevada.
In 2013, he played with the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League. In 2014, he played for the Boston Brawlers of the Fall Experimental Football League.
