Blake Bortles On Season: “Biggest Nightmare Possible”

Find out how Blake Bortles feels about this season.

Similar to the young Oakland Raiders, many suspected Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars were primed to take that next step this season. Some even believed they could win the less than stellar AFC South.

However, the reality is that after 12 games, the Jaguars are officially eliminated from playoff contention and Bortles has been a turnover machine. With four games remaining, Bortles has already thrown 15 interceptions. Following yesterday’s 20-10 loss to the Denver Broncos, the third-year quarterback accessed the season up to this point.

“It’s the biggest nightmare possible,” Bortles admitted. “But what are you going to do about it? You can’t sit there in a corner and pout. You can’t blame people. You can’t feel sorry for yourself because I think all that’s going to do is affect the way I play.”

It’s likely Jacksonville will give Bortles another shot to redeem himself next year, but as far as head coach Gus Bradley goes, that’s a completely different story.
