Blake Bortles Not Sure If Jaguars Will Pick Up Team Option

The Jacksonville Jaguars have four months to decide on the future of quarterback Blake Bortles. After a sub-par third season, Bortles isn’t sure if the Jags will pick up his fifth-year option.

“I have no idea,” Bortles said. “I honestly couldn’t tell you if it’s a good thing or a bad thing if it’s picked up or not. I’ll play football here in Jacksonville for as long as they want me to, so hopefully I’m allowed to do that.”

Whoever the Jaguars hire as head coach could play a major role in what the team does with Bortles moving forward.
