Bills WR Watkins, RG Miller injured, leave game
The Sports Xchange
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Two Buffalo Bills starters — wide receiver Sammy Watkins and right guard John Miller — left Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins in the second quarter due to injuries.
Watkins suffered a calf injury. Miller left due to a groin injury. Both were listed as questionable to return.
After setting the Bills rookie receiving records last year with 65 catches for 982 yards and six touchdowns, Watkins was off to a slow start this season. He had six catches for 60 yards and one touchdown in his first two games. On Sunday, he had one catch for 39 yards before getting hurt.
Miller, a rookie and a Miami native, made his third consecutive start. After playing his college ball at Louisville, he was the Bills’ third-round pick this year.
