The Sports Xchange
The Buffalo Bills signed veteran free agent cornerback Ellis Lankster on Monday.
The Bills released cornerback Lavelle Westbrooks to make room on the roster.
The 5-foot-9, 190-pound Lankster makes his return to Buffalo after entering the NFL as a seventh-round pick of the Bills in the 2009 NFL Draft out of West Virginia.
In addition to spending the 2009 season and 2010 training camp with the Bills, Lankster has spent time with the New York Jets in each of the past four seasons. He has played in 49 career games (one start), with 62 tackles, two interceptions and one sack.
