Bills RB McCoy unlikely to play vs. Giants
The Sports Xchange
Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday it “doesn’t look good” that LeSean McCoy will play Sunday against the New York Giants as the running back continues to deal with a hamstring injury.
“There’s a real possibility that he won’t play in this game,” Ryan said. “He’s certainly not 100 percent. We’re holding him out from practice. Is it worth the time to get him near or 100 percent? We’re weighing that right now.”
The Bills also could be without wide receiver Sammy Watkins with a calf injury. Watkins left Sunday’s game in the first quarter and did not return.
The Bills will continue to monitor McCoy’s nagging hamstring injury. He was limited to 34 snaps and gained only 16 yards on 11 carries in last Sunday’s 41-14 win over the Miami Dolphins.
“I’m banged up,” McCoy said. “I can’t get that acceleration — that burst. I just have to take care of it.”
Karlos Williams stepped in for McCoy and gain 110 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries against Miami.
