Bills QB Taylor inactive vs. Bengals
The Sports Xchange
Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor is inactive with a knee injury for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Backup quarterback E.J. Manuel will get the start in place of Taylor.
Manuel, who took the majority of the first-team snaps in practice, has not played this season after losing the job to Taylor. Manuel completed 58 percent of his passes for 838 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions in five games last season.
Taylor was limited in practice after suffering a sprained MCL in Buffalo’s 14-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans last Sunday. The sixth-round draft pick in 2011 by Baltimore has a 70.1 percent completion rate while throwing for 1,097 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions in five games this season.
Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin (hip) also is inactive but wide receiver Sammy Watkins (calf) is expected to play. Watkins has been out of the lineup since a Sept. 27 win over the Miami Dolphins.
