Bills add C Freeman, LB Reddick
The Sports Xchange
The Buffalo Bills were awarded center Dalton Freeman and linebacker Kevin Reddick off waivers. The team also released linebacker Jimmy Gaines and waived-injured offensive tackle Tyson Chandler.
Freeman was released by the New York Jets on Sunday. Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Clemson in 2013, he played in all 16 games for the Jets last season, including one start.
Reddick also went undrafted in 2013, originally signing with the New Orleans Saints. He has spent time with the Carolina Panthers and San Diego Chargers, with 12 special teams tackles to his credit in 21 career NFL games.
Gaines went undrafted out of the University of Miami in 2014 before signing with the Bills. He did not play as a rookie and had two tackles in Saturday’s preseason victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Chandler will be placed on injured reserve once he clears waivers.
