ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills scored two touchdowns in a span of 10 seconds and forced the Cleveland Browns’ offense to go backward for much of the second half in a 26-10 win Sunday.

The Bills have won two straight to improve to 7-5 for the first time since the 2000 season when they finished 8-8 and began a 14-year playoff drought, currently the longest in the NFL.

The Browns (7-5) failed in their attempt to win eight of their first 12 games for the first time since 1994 and turned the offense over to rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel with 12 minutes remaining in the game.

Manziel completed 3 of 4 passes for 54 yards and scored on a 10-yard touchdown run on his first drive. Brian Hoyer was 18 of 30 passing for 192 yards and two interceptions before being replaced by Manziel, who finished 5-of-8 passing for 63 yards.

On the third play of his second series, Manziel appeared to lose a fumble that was recovered in the end zone by the Bills, but replay reviews determined it was an incomplete pass.

Buffalo quarterback Kyle Orton completed 17 of 31 passes for 190 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He had a streak of 157 passes without an interception snapped in the second quarter.

After sputtering throughout the first half, the Bills strung together three big plays to take control of the game midway through the third quarter.

Orton converted a fourth down with a 34-yard pass to wide receiver Robert Woods, then found receiver Chris Hogan for a 3-yard touchdown on the very next play to put the Bills in front 7-3 at the 8:08 mark.

On the first play of the Browns’ ensuing drive, Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes stripped the ball from running back Terrance West and returned the fumble 18 yards to give Buffalo a 14-3 lead with 7:54 left in the quarter.

Dan Carpenter kicked field goals of 47 and 34 yards three minutes apart to put the Bills ahead 20-3 early in the fourth quarter. Carpenter added a 34-yard field goal with 3:32 remaining, and a 35-yarder in the final minute.

The Bills held the Browns to minus-6 yards of offense on the first five drives of the second after allowing Cleveland to gain 191 yards in the first half.

The Browns possessed the ball for more than 18 minutes of the first half, with two drives of 14 or more plays, but came away with only three points.

Billy Cundiff kicked a 22-yard field goal after a 15-play, 91-yard drive to put Cleveland ahead 3-0 at 4:55 of the first quarter. Running back Isaiah Crowell appeared to lose a fumble at the 7 earlier in the drive, but replay review overturned the play.

The Browns drove 53 yards on 14 plays before Cundiff missed a 37-yard field goal wide right in the second quarter.

Buffalo had just four first downs and failed to convert a third down in the first half. The Bills drove down to the Cleveland 7 early in the second quarter before Orton was intercepted by safety Jim Leonhard in the end zone.

Carpenter’s 54-yard field goal attempt at the end of the half was blocked by Joe Haden.
