Bennett, Sitton active for Bears, Packers
The Green Bay Packers will have starting guards Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang as well as safety Morgan Burnett for Sunday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Sitton (toe) and Lang (ankle) were listed as questionable. Neither practiced on Wednesday and Thursday, though both went through an extensive workout in the Don Hutson Center on Friday morning. Burnett (calf) practiced all week and was listed as probable on Friday, but the team downgraded him to questionable following Saturday’s practice.
The Bears didn’t have any noteworthy names on their list of inactives. Tight end Martellus Bennett, who was questionable with injured ribs, is active. Bennett caught nine passes in the Week 4 matchup between the teams.
Of the inactives, the surprise was Packers linebacker Jamari Lattimore.
Lattimore, not listed on the injury report, had started five games and was fifth on the team with 43 tackles. Sam Barrington was named the starter opposite A.J. Hawk. Brad Jones, who started the opener against Seattle, will be back in the mix.
The Packers’ other inactives are quarterback Scott Tolzien, cornerback Demetri Goodson, linebacker Carl Bradford, offensive tackle Jamon Meredith (signed on Saturday), receiver Jeff Janis and defensive tackle Luther Robinson.
